Hey folks! So, we’ve got some news from San Miguel de Allende that you might want to pay attention to. It turns out that those monsoon rains we’ve been experiencing recently have set off a bit of a ruckus in the community of Los Rodríguez.
The local government has officially kicked into action by activating the Municipal Civil Protection Council, making sure they’re on top of things to keep everyone safe. According to reports, the municipal president, Mauricio Trejo, gave a big shout-out to the hard-working crew for their speedy response to the rising waters, which was less than half an hour. That’s some quick turnaround, right?
When the skies opened up, streets like Calzada Guadalupe, La Medina, El Carmen, San Juan, and Camino de Bocas started to feel the impact of the heavy rains. Residents were understandably a bit anxious as water started to make its way down from the hills. Fortunately, local officials have been closely monitoring the situation and have ensured that the flow of water has been flowing but not stagnating.
There’s no doubt that the community in Los Rodríguez is grateful for the help they received from the municipality during this soggy chapter. We all know how unpredictable the weather can be, especially here in the heart of Mexico!
As this rainy season continues, we’ll keep you posted on any updates. Stay safe, San Miguel! If you have any experiences or tips on handling the rain, feel free to share. We’re all ears!
Catch you later! Keep those umbrellas handy!
